Hellebore (details unknown)
It started out as a cutting from one of the SAGBUTT (Seattle Area Garden Bloggers United To Talk) gardeners, Karen of Gardenwalks if memory serves. During a 2009 gathering I received a cutting from her garden. Last year the plant showed marked growth but it gave no blooms. I first noticed it blooming about a week ago. But it wasn’t until yesterday that I was able to catch a break from the winds and rains to attempt some pictures. Glad I took the time since today the winds and rains are back.
Nearby, under the lilac bush, the snowdrops have pushed up and are in a holding pattern as are most of our other spring bulbs.
These snowdrops still have to wait a spell before they get to shine. But typically around here, February brings a couple weeks of warm, dry, sunny weather. Come on February! Hurry up and get here already!

@Petunia -- The various bulbs are pushing up greenery, so perhaps spring will come sometime soon.
I love Hellebores! I wonder if it might be the seedling that I brought to one of the meetings?
Today ended up being nice and I found several daffodils making their way up. Your post just reminded me that I planted snowdrops last fall, I'll have to go look for them.

New blooms are so worth the effort, though I don't know how you keep your sanity with all the rain! The gorgeous green growth must make for a nice trade off.

You're back! Yay! With a lovely bloom and tales of rain, which I do believe are on their way down here. :( Oh, well, we've had some good hot sun. Cannot complain. I'll try to wish some up your way. :)

I adore Hellebores! We speculate when it may be this plant that i given on the list of group meetings?
Currently ended up becoming nice in addition to I found numerous daffodils producing their own approach way up. Your current write-up merely reminded everyone that i planned and planted snowdrops final fall, I am going to have to proceed look for these people.
This type of is cool as hellebores are relatively care-free plants as well as will grow in a great variety of soil conditions.
